Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this lesson's material, students will be able to:

  • Students will be able to identify a model of crisis intervention for schools.
  • Students will be able to define and identify effective interventions at primary prevention, secondary prevention, and tertiary intervention levels.
  • Students will identify three problems and causes to these problems in schools, and create a prevention program project- identifying the roles, rules, and interventions to prevent the problems and to ameliorate the effects on all three levels.
  • Students will be able to list the American Association of Suicidology postvention guidelines and develop a debate BOTH for the guidelines AND against them.
