Teaching

This lesson marks the end of your practicum I experience – Partnerships in early childhood education.  For this practicum there was the usual, journaling, goal setting, practicum evaluations and weekly check-ins. 

It is the hope that you walk away from this practicum feeling more prepared to work in the early education field.  With that said, I cannot stress enough, the importance of experience and reflection in this process.  I look forward to reading your reflections and wish you the best for Practicum II!


Assessment

Lesson 14 Assignment A

Write a one page summary:

  1. Explain how you used reflective journaling to enhance your practicum experience.
  2. Explain how your goals enhanced your practicum experience  (Attach the goal to the summary with the self-assessment filled out at the bottom.)
  3. Discuss how the weekly emails were used to enhance your practicum experience.  Submit   your signed practicum hours logged complete with hours

Lesson 14 Assignment B

In addition to the evaluation completed by your cooperating teacher, you will complete a self-evaluation.  After completing a self-evaluation, compare the two and write a summary. Did anything surprise you?  Are you satisfied with the evaluations? What are your next steps? 

Scan and submit the final self-evaluation AND the final supervising teacher evaluation along with your summary.
