Lesson 14: Program Implementation

Attention

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this lesson's material, students will be able to:

  • Write an accurate behavioral contract
  • Develop an accurate and usable Token Economy

Teaching

This lesson is all about actually puting plans into place...we are first going to talk about Contracts which define behavior plans and then we will look at a special kind of contract called a Token Economy.

Contracts

Contracts are documents (real) that we create to outline behavior plans and make sure everyone understands what is going to happen. This is where making sure you are using behavior descriptions that pass the Dead Man and Stranger Test are so important!

The Contract outlines who the focus of the plan is on, outlines specific behavior expectations, and outlines consequences...it is basically a word version of the ABC Contingency plan.

Token Economies

Token Economies represent the most widely used implementation of Behavior Management.

For this assignment you are going to write and implement a personal problem-solving behavior plan. (Preferably the subject is YOU, but theoretically, you can write this plan to change someone else's behavior).

This is the real deal, you will actually be implementing this plan in your life!
