Through these partnerships and our alliance with other educational resource companies, OpenStax is breaking down the most common barriers to learning and empowering students and instructors to succeed."

Citing Our Textbook

Citations come in two forms...in text and in the "References" according to APA guidelines.

In Text Citations

When you use an idea or quote from the textbook you should include an in-text citation right in the paragraph you are writing.  You would cite the author and the year.  For our textbook the author is "OpenStax College" and the year is "2014".

So an in text citation would look like...

"According to OpenStax College (2014)...."

References

At the end of your paper, on a new page, with "References" across the top...you would cite the APA formatted citation of the textbook.

OpenStax College (2014). Introduction to Psychology. OpenStax College.
