Independent Study courses are existing courses in our catalog that are taught on a one-to-one basis. The circumstances that justify the creation of an Independent Study go beyond convenience to the student and should be reviewed prior to any discussion with the student regarding an Independent Study.

Directed Study involve the creation of a Faculty-directed curriculum that the student engages in for credit. Again, the policies for Directed Study are outlined in detail in the Faculty Handbook and College Policy.
