eBook Textbooks

We discussed the transition to eBooks that is underway in the Mental Health program. We discussed that next academic year the PSY 101 and SOC 101 classes will also include textbooks that can be purchased in eBook format.

Initial discussion about other classes going this way was had, including COM 104 and COM 105.

This lead to a discussion about Mark McCafferty taking over for the ordering of COM 104 classes. There were some issues this semester in terms of different versions of the textbooks being available through the KVCC Bookstore.

Mark McCafferty will manage and organize the ordering of all textbooks for COM 104 and COM 105. The issue of considering eBook versions of these textbooks was tabled.
KVCC Open House

It was announced that the next Open House has been scheduled for April 23 at 9am on both campuses.

Wendy St. Pierre will follow up with the MHT Team to get our marketing materials together. Mark McCafferty will follow up related to the Liberal Studies Program

Discussion was had about the schedule for Summer, Fall, Late Start Fall, and Jan Plan.

The group decided that for th coming semesters we will simply repeat what we did this last few semesters.
Common Meeting Time As we appraoch the schedule for the Fall, Mark McCafferty asked about the reality of the "Common Meeting Time" which is being considered in the Faculty Senate. Mark K will follow up on information related to the Common Meeting Time to be sure we do not schedule classes during that time frame.
