September 8 - iPad Funding Options Document
Confirm use of iPads as the mobile device.
Outline options:
Lease with Grant Seed
Lease with KVCC - Day 1 Fund 1
Lease with KVCC - Day 1 Fund 1 - Deferred Payment to Apple
Student Pay - May involve Financial Aid
9/20/15 - Following conversations with Follett (bookstore) it seems that students will be able to pre-order their iPads and have them delivered to the KVCC Bookstore using their pending financial aid.
We will explore 1) do we simply want to have students purchase the iPads outright as a requirement, and 2) what do we need (or want) to do with the pending grants that we are applying for?
Ideas for Grant funds (should they be awarded)
Purchase a set of in-class iPads as "back-up" in case someone forgot their iPad (10)
Purchase a set of iPads that will be "rented" by students who are not matriculated into the Mental Health program but taking MHT classes.
Explore options for off-campus, dual-enrollment provision of iPads
Purchase support infrastructure such as microphones, tripods, lenses, cases, etc.
